I am a Professor of Economics at the University of Nottingham, where I am the Deputy Director the Nottingham Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP). I am also the research lead on Digitisation and Technical Change within the £12million ESRC funded centre for research on trade policy (CITP). I am also a research fellow in the Digital Economy at CESIfo, an affiliated researcher at the Innovation Growth Lab at NESTA and a member of the UK Digital Economy Network.
My research focuses on the effects of new technologies, most recently digital technologies, and their relationship with productivity and international trade. I am best known for research on the link between digital technologies and productivity, the relationship between exports and productivity as well as earlier research on the link between fiscal policy and economics growth.
